Customers gathered at the EMC booth with NVIDIA and Aspera at NAB this week to see Pixspan’s new technology. Executives from NAB used live demonstrations of EMC Isilon’s NAS storage systems for the first time, delivering 4K full resolution play-out.

With this first-ever combination of technologies, EMC is showing its NAS can deliver 4K workflows on infrastructure originally designed for 2K. As a result, media and entertainment customers can upgrade their processes without replacing their entire storage and network infrastructure. 

Customers were also treated to EMC’s demonstration of PixMover, Pixspan’s new media file manager software. PixMover allows customers to quickly back up large production files without needing to resort to tape, saving precious time in the media workflow.
